These are never-before-seen 5"x7" B&W
photos of Buddy Holly taken in one of the photo booths located
at Grand Central Station in New York on January 20, 1959. They were on their
way to Chicago and the start of the Winter
Dance Party tour in which Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and the Big Bopper
would take that ill-fated airplane trip. Buddy had
hired his friend Waylon to play bass on that tour, and Waylon gave up his
airplane seat to the Big Bopper.
These are the last three pictures of Buddy Holly from
that ill-fated tour.

The
Museum of Rock Art, Hollywood, was established in 1980, on Sunset
Blvd in Hollywood, CA. Though it's physical location is no more, we continue
to offer the best in photos and information
from the extensive archives covering Rock & Roll's glory days.
Month after month, for 7 years,
the Museum's exhibits featured the images by Ron Woods, Joni Mitchell, ZOX,
Linda Mc Cartney, John Lennon, Karl Ferris, Henry Diltz, Dezo Hoffmann, Rick
Griffin, Bob Seidemann, Stanley Mouse
and hundreds more of todays Top Rock & Roll Heroes & Artists.
The Museum of Rock Art provided
scholarship funds and support for many organizations including the Jim Morrison
Scholarship Fund at UCLA Film School. The Museum's traveling art exhibits
won the highest awards ever
given for a music related traveling art exhibit in the USA & Canada.
Today, the Museum of Rock Art
is considered the Best repository of it's kind. Most every book or
publication dealing with Rock & Roll, features images from the archive.
Photos of people, events, music
festivals and music posters, cover most events of the 60's. Most images are
Digitized and transfered via Email.
